Pryce maps UK house prices from completed sales. This page is the citable account of the source, the current geography, and the gaps.

Source

Sold prices are HM Land Registry Price Paid Data, published under the Open Government Licence. Each row is a registered residential transfer: price, date, property type, and address parts. Pryce matches those transfers onto Overture building footprints, using OS Open UPRN, energy certificates, and National Statistics lookups to place the sale. Map cartography uses OpenStreetMap and CARTO.

Attribution

Current geography

Price Paid Data covers England and Wales. That is what the live map colours today. Scotland (Registers of Scotland) and Northern Ireland (Land & Property Services) are on the roadmap; they are not in the sold-price tiles yet. Product language stays UK because that is how people search and how the map is meant to grow.

What is excluded

• Transfers that have not yet been registered
• Most unregistered land
• Some sales that are not at arm's length
• Asking prices, rental listings, and sold-subject-to-contract figures

Refresh cadence

Land Registry publishes Price Paid monthly. Pryce reloads after each release. A completion can appear several weeks later, once the transfer is registered.

City statistics

City pages report median price and sale count from the same transfers, grouped by postcode outward code. A page only shows a number we can compute from the database. If a city has no sales in the current extract, we do not invent one.
